One weekend as I was on the subway I overheard two people talking in Vietnamese. I was curious and asked them were they in Korea visiting, if not what were they doing there. Apparently there is a huge Viet community in Korea and they told me Ansan had one of the largest concentration. The reason for so many immigrants from China, Vietnam, and Indonesia is because they come to Korea to work at factories such as electronic ones. I was amazed because I really didn't think a Viet community existed in Korea. So I went in search of this Asia Town with Anthony and we found it!!!
This was the entrance to the Asia Town. It was so bizarre because Koreans were not the dominant ones here! There was a lot of Indonesians, Chinese, and Vietnamese people. I'm not sure what other race was there but it was so weird to see such a sight in Korea.
Durians for sale! They're so expensive here though, probably because they're imported. Many of my co-workers don't know what a durian is. I'm tempted to buy one and share.

Inside the restaurant where everyone was speaking Vietnamese, again this is so odd for me since being in Korea all I hear is Korean.

Balut...I only ate the yellow part and gave the rest to Anthony. I could never get myself to eat the whole thing.

Yum! But still not as good as House of Curries. =)
Balut? You're not Filipino woman! Hot vit lon.
