Seoul Grand Park

Cindy (my roommate from training) and I decided to go to the Seoul Grand Park one day. I have to start off saying it was a really cold day and there was snow everywhere! You will see why I mention this as you go through the pictures.
Our nifty ride up to the chair lift. There was a good group of people on it and we just decided to follow them. We were thinking it wasn't so bad after all since there was a group of people going with lots of little kid. We soon find out though that they were all going to the amusement park and NO ONE was going to the zoo.
Our ride to the top of the mountain. The zoo was along a mountain side, so the idea was to go all the way up then walk down. As we were going up though we didn't see any animals or people anywhere. For a second there we thought this was a huge mistake and even wondered why we were sold tickets.
A view of the zoo from up top. It looks so deserted.
But then lo and behold we end up spending a good three to four hours there. There were still many exhibits to be seen even if some of the animals were not outside (there was about a third of them out).
Here we made it just in time to see baby monkeys be fed. They were treated so well! Their beds were made and one had lotion lathered all over. So cute!
I just thought this was funny, with about seven or so little crabs under this coconut shell.
This thing scared the heck out of me! I jumped when I turned around and saw it. It's a Pixie Frog.
A banana tree! I love bananas.
A cute animal band made from plants.
A Kebab restaurant right out of the Itaewon Subway.
This Gyro definitely made out night. It was sooooooo good. Recently I've been looking for anything not Korea, anything that is pure something (basically with out Korean influence) which is pretty difficult to find anywhere close.
Mediocre Caramel Machiatto before heading out to the Jjimjilbang (Korean Bath House) for the rest of the night. =)

  1. oh that gyro does look delicious! it must be really hard finding non-korean food in korea! it's almost nonexsistent! and i'm pretty sure all restaurants are owned by koreans too so the taste might not be as authentic. but gluck on ur ongoing search for good food! =)

btw, that coffee looks similar to the one they make in coffee prince! i like the leaf design on it! COOL!
